My project Useless Networks was part of the Mexicali Biennial! On April 13th I had the opportunity to be part of the performances day. Thanks to Steven Rodriguez for wearing the jacket and embracing the idea of the piece.
I was part of the Outpost’s Monster Drawing Rally at the Armory, and these were the pieces I made during my hour:
As part of the exhibition “To the lighthouse”, curated by Geoff Tuck, every artist in the show organized some kind of event. I wanted to change the behavior most people adopt while being at a gallery, so I put a kickable piñata in the middle. With tiny drawings mixed with candy.
I was part of the exhibition “Random Acts of Time” curated by William Moreno.
My project BODY 2.0 was included in VIDEODUMBO, part of the DUMBO arts festival in Brooklyn.
My home for the summer!
My piece “Evolving trees” for the Pasadena Art Alliance Auction.
These drawings were for a show titled “My New Country” at LAAA. It was just after Obama was elected and there was a positive atmosphere full of hope. I realize how lucky the US was at the moment, and how unlucky other places on earth were for newborns.
